Alright! First of all I will update to V5. Thought it would still be ok to use V4.

I tried to search the release notes in the help file and the whats new section forum. I couldn't find it? Can anybody help me? btw I am using BI 4.8.6.3 X64

I still have problem to reenable BI as a service. And I tried to find the release notes but couldn't. Can anybody give me the linkk to the release notes or explain me how to reenable the service? Everytime I try to reenable that service it will give me an error that the Disk is not ready.

Hi redlancer, I am glad I could help you with my own experience! Just another idea from me to solve your problem to re-enable as windows service: Try to delete the videos in New/ Stored Folder and the database folder. Delete the Clip History in BI. After that restart BI and re-enable as...

And in case I want to zoom into a part of the picture, what is better? 2MP with a optical zoom oder 8MP and digital zoom in? I think the optical one is better...but is the difference to the digital zoom that big? What else is the advantage to have 8MP? Mostly the monitor to watch that videos...

Can anybody recommened me a PTZ Dome Camera which cost max 200 € ? I prefer Dahua or Hikvision if possible cause I have some runnning in my system already which makes the setup a bit easier. Requierements: PTZ IR- Lights POE if possible: mic, black color

I had the same problem..that solution worked for me. And after it started to record again you surely can re-activate that service.

This question is long ago already but maybe it can help somebody who has the same problem: Go into Options-->Startup-->Uncheck "Run as a Windows service" Works for me after I tried everything including deleting the db folder.

I think you misunderstood me. I didn't compare them...I just want to mention that I use a Dahua PTZ as well and it works great, but I don't need that fancy thing in my storage.

Thank you for your answer! So is there any cheap IP Cam which is compatible with Blue Iris? I also use a Dahua PTZ camera which is pretty good but costs around 200 €. And now I need around 5 cameras to install them in my storage...that's why they should be pretty cheap cause the requierements...

I just bought the Reolink RLC-520 camera to use it with Blue Iris for just 52€. I think this is a pretty good deal for a simple IP cam. For me it's important, that the camera has PoE and H264. Any other advices in this price range?
