Blue Iris "deactivated" itself after I added a 2nd HDD

Update: I reactivated and it let me in without any problems except that it forgot one of my cameras. All appears to be working now except that I'm getting very low framerate when viewing the cam's live stream from my phone (via IpCamViewer android app) while Blue Iris is continuously recording?

Blue Iris "deactivated" itself after I added a 2nd HDD

I plan to keep BI installed on the SSD and use the HDD for storage. I am reactivating. I haven't done it yet but I assumed I'd have to set everything up again because it seemed to have reverted to the non-activated/demo state.

Blue Iris "deactivated" itself after I added a 2nd HDD

Thanks for your reply. Can I import any settings and cameras I added? I didn't export any but it appears BI generates some backup files (I can see them in the folder structure). I just worry about gumming up the registry if I install it again?

Blue Iris "deactivated" itself after I added a 2nd HDD

Hi All, I installed Blue Iris 5 (purchased from IPCamTalk) on a machine that only had an SSD drive to get it up and running, add cameras, and to learn the software a bit before my 4TB WD Purple arrived. Tonight I closed BI, shutdown the machine, and added the new 4TB drive. It was detected and...

Hello and need help with a parts list please

Hmm. That 2M with 3x optical is doing pretty good in my opinion. Maybe I can get by with a PTZ with optical zoom. I've seen some in the $100+ range with 4x optical zoom. Thanks!

Hello and need help with a parts list please

Thanks. I may have to go varifocal if nothing exists. At one point I had an OLD Foscam PTZ setup so it was looking through binoculars in my bedroom window to see the gate. Let's just say it was less than ideal, kinda worked though. And maybe it's 80 ft away? But something of that order of...

Hello and need help with a parts list please

thank you for your replies! I have a computer on the way, my WD Purple drive just arrived and I'm looking at cameras (already have a couple cheap Amcrest PTZs I'm testing/playing with). Do you know of an inexpensive fixed optical zoom camera that i can train on my gate from about 100' ft away...

Hello and need help with a parts list please

Hi Everyone! I want to try to do this right the first time. Been reading a lot about folks that start out with a cheap NVR kit from Cosco and almost always upgrade to a PC running Blue Iris (or Milestone?)w/ a couple WD Purple drives, a POE switch, and good Dahua starlight cameras. Can anyone...
