Hello,
Let me start by saying I am completely new to Ubiquiti and I am trying to get everything in order before I start the installation. I am trying to improve WIFI service in my home to include a detached garage approximately 50 feet away from the main building. My current ISP is Verizon...
@EMPIRETECANDY got my cameras in today. Super fast shipping thank you again Andy for the support and great customer service.

I bought an Optiplex 7040 mini tower that came with a AMD Radeon R5 340X, 2GB (DP, SL-DVI-I) card. Should I remove it before I install BI or just keep it in?

No mines came with the standard hard drive. I have to add a SSD. The standard one will be replaced with a PURPLE.

$508 with the 10 percent off.

I got the mini tower has one 3.5 open - I will be adding a WD purple in. Replacing the one that came with a ssd.
You can get one with a ssd already install and more memory but ofcoarse the price goes up.

I did the same thing after reading this thread. I went with a i7 7040 optiplex mini tower and told them they can do 10 percent off. Held for a few minutes and then they came back with how you going to pay lmao

Thanks guys for all the support. Bought the cable stated above. Bought two boxes, and holy caramba - the shipping charge is crazy - end up using the hey15 code for 15% off but still holy fxcxk

The attic hold the main AC unit that feed the house. But I don't think it will be in the way. It's a semi home remodel with some walls taken down to the studs. You are right shielded cable is over kill - I just want something that will last
Thank you for the inputs guys. Is there any cable...
So basically what will have to do is attached a ubiquiti sender to the Poe at the main house and then a receiver located at the detached garage that will be connected to the Ip camera correct ?

I have a 3300 square foot house that is 2 level with a basement. I am in the process of running cat6 cable for the Ip cameras and might as well change what is there. Some of the original cat5 cable show sign of wear hence the reasons for changing them
