    There is no reason to get the pro max, networking side is the same and it just adds a mirrored drive for nvr. better off getting an actual nvr unit.

    UDMs are do it all machines, they have specific devices if you need more power.

    You have to create a new onvif user or at least I did with a few of my amcrest cameras. The move is to get you into unifi but I think their main goal is to allow the enterprise to more easily move into unifi. I think they will be adding onvif alerting in future updates.

    Working fine for me, though with out Onvif alerting from my AI cameras, its rather worthless. I did replace my standalone amcrest nvr with it though. Smart alerting is still handled by Frigate.

    Does your state not do this? Our police force has APLR on I would say 25% of their cars and they are constantly scanning and they get alerts on their laptops if a car is not registered.     The issue is typically IR reflections when shooting through glass, if you turn that off it should be fine, I am considering the same since I didn't get enough zoom out of my turret to catch plates but I do not want a big ass bullet on the front of my house
