Congratulations to Rory Mcllory. $4.3M purse. I clearly did not pick the correct career path.

Car Break in Up the Street from My House

Correction. The FordPass app now supports automations. The bonus is it does not violate Ford’s ToS like some of the other third party work arounds which abuse the FordPass API

Car Break in Up the Street from My House

I can do almost anything with my new ‘25 Ford, including remotely unlocking and locking my car. Just can’t set an automatic lock car command each night in case I forget.

How is a VPN more secure than port forwarding?

I host Tailscale on pfSense and all I did was create the hybrid outbound NAT rule. Works automagically!

How is a VPN more secure than port forwarding?

VPNs do not necessarily require port forwarding depending on which VPN client and where it's hosted. For example, Tailscale requires no port forwarding regardless of where it is hosted (router, firewall, OS client, etc.)

Syncing camera time with PC time

Most, if not all, consumer and SOHO routers can serve time via a LAN side NTP server. I happen to run a Stratum 0 GPS+PPS source on my pfSense firewall. https://github.com/elvisimprsntr/pfsense-ntp-gps

    OpenVPN home IP address

I use no-ip as my domain registrar, email, and DyDNS. One stop shopping and competent US based support. https://blog.noip.com/no-ip-advantage-us-based-customer-support-sets-us-apart Disclaimer: Not a paid endorsement. [emoji1787]

    OpenVPN home IP address

Although I don’t use OpenVPN, I use a DyDNS service since I don’t have a static IP, but it has not changed in 7+ years. That way I can access via a host name just in case it does change.

Corruption in food and health : Dr. John Campbell

Exactly why the processed/fast food industry does not want Apple to succeed in implementing non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in a watch. It arms consumers and policymakers with too much information that might affect profits. It might even be bigger than big tobacco denying...

    23andMe and DNA scams

As part of the bankruptcy settlement, I am sure the creditors will insist on selling off the “assets” to the highest bidder. Privacy is not a concern of the courts. Just like Monsanto, who owns all the genetically modified seeds and will threaten to sue any independent farms that have traces...
