    never thought about it that way, which makes perfect sense now especially with PTZ at further away objects. out of curisosity if comparing 4mp ptz on 1/1.8" to a 2mp ptz but on 1/2.8", would the 2mp still be better choice for objects at a far distance? since you would need lower amount of light...

    why it isn't good to constantly zoom a varifocal ? do you mean set it to max zoom and forget is not ideal ? if yes I am wondering why or do you mean its not ideal to contantly zoom in and out ? which makes sense to not affect mechanical parts

    for people owning this camera, can we set schedule for each channel ? like for example if i want to adjust shutter time for channel 3 the 25mm at night wile leaving the other channels following their own schedule and own settings can i do this ? I know I can set the image settings individually...

    I tried to search yesterday for latest firmware but couldnt find, it seems i have to regsiter to hik connect partner program, does it matter which country i register in, like for example if i regsiter in uk will it still be able to see license plates from other countries/continents ?

    I found a used DH-SD42C212T-HN but noticed it doesnt have built in IR, but still in specs it says it has auto ICR, that means that it will still see IR if I have IR illuminator or other IR from adjacent cameras ?

    Blue Iris + Imou Ranger 2- Setting up RTSP Sub stream.

    for anyone having trouble with substream not appearing, I have imou ranger dual 6mp, in the imou config tool and imou app on pc or mobile there was no way to enable substream, just installed smartps on pc and enabled the substream from there, now it works fine
