Junction box - do you need coax seal with it?

@mat200 @fenderman @J Sigmo ... preciate the info on your expertise/experiences. I went ahead and wrapped them all with coax seal as well as using dieelectric grease and a junction box. It might be over kill but I'd rather not have to replace any cameras due to water/moisture.

Junction box - do you need coax seal with it?

Quick question... I have mounted junction boxes for all my cameras but wanted to get some opinions to see if Coax Seal is also neccessary to use with the junction boxes. Or will the connectors be fine without Coax Seal since they are in the junction box? I did use dieletctric grease in each...

    RJ45 crimper and connector suggestions

I went with the regular single piece connector and using the crimping tool from my network team at work. I will update once I terminate the cat6. Thanks guys for the help and suggestions.

    RJ45 crimper and connector suggestions

I've seen a few posts regarding suggestions on which crimpers to use but wanted to get some more suggestions. I see IPCAMTALK crimpers on Amazon. Anyone purchased these in here...

FYI - $57 on 720P LaView manual varifocal dome 2-pack IP cameras 7/3/2018

I see these are on sale again on slickdeals but I haven't seen any "real" reviews on these yet. I would be using these inside the house just to play with. I have a few Wyze cams i've been testing with and would like something with a little bit more crisp picture.

    New(b) Home Setup - Thoughts/Recommendations?

After reading yours and @looney2ns posts regarding lowering the cameras a bit, I will be lowering them first for my tests to between 6 to 7 feet everywhere possible. My buddy that is going to be helping run the CAT5e will also be helping with the testing as a suspect. I want to see just how...

    New(b) Home Setup - Thoughts/Recommendations?

I saw quite a few posts recommending mounting the cameras around 8ft but if I should do eye level that is more like 6ft which I'm fine with doing as well. I will test it from both heights but will make it 6ft if that gives the best footage.

    New(b) Home Setup - Thoughts/Recommendations?

@looney2ns Thanks for the link and I appreciate all the reviews, that is what I needed to see. The camera looks pretty darn good (nearly identical clarity to the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE) imo. I may just have to purchase these instead of the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE when it is time to buy more in a couple months.
