    You are correct. DVR uses BNC (coax) cabling I do not want to change the cameras and they do not have Ethernet. To change the cameras would be more expense and work that I will be doing. We just want to change the DVR. Quality was OK but now he has problems with the recording. I am not...

    The old DVR is located not to far from the router. It is connected with a Ethernet cable. It looks OK. Do you think that I need a new one? It can be done. I have asked my friend and he is ready to spend about $300 on the DVR.
