There was mention earlier of a newer version under test - perhaps you can try to get hold of this and see if it fixed your issue? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Thanks @EMPIRETECANDY , look forward to it. But how do we be careful on V1? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

    Are mounts really worth it?

I'm not sure why you feel the need to use a mount? I have 10 cameras in same orientation, nil mounts. If you're running conduit to it though that's another story.... Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Definitely sounds like V2. But no promises... at the moment I feel that these firmware are a mess. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

    Big update!! NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.000.0000000.0.R.20190713

@EMPIRETECANDY maybe this firmware should be removed from the site .. it appears it might be bricking NVR's? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

    DaHua NVR5216-16P-4KS2 firmware upgrade questions.

@EMPIRETECANDY Unfortunately yes that's the firmware that caused the problems on my V1 machine. Perhaps it has a bug that doesnt appear for a while until after upgrading? At the time I didn't see it was marked as V2 only. Same problem with this user here: POST

    DaHua NVR5216-16P-4KS2 firmware upgrade questions.

Thanks Andy - just to clarify what new firmware did you use? There's a few links floating around now. I tried the March 2020 firmware and at first it appeared fine, but then the system dropped offline and changed IP to 192.168.1.108 randomly overnight. This happened 3 times before I had to go...

Sorry on my phone at the moment but yes, the 2019 firmware works fine for V1, there may be minor bugs. See the posts by @redfive earlier in the year who tested a few versions from memory

    DaHua NVR5216-16P-4KS2 firmware upgrade questions.

Sorry still confused Andy... Do you mean these models are supported for hardware version V1, or V2 only? Thank you. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

View web interface (In running v4.0 firmware), go to Operation -> Information. It will then show a hardware version. EDIT: Perhaps take the results with a grain of salt..... see posts below. Sometimes this may not match up to stickers under unit too. Suggest checking the PCB internally might...

Check your system information and see if it says V1 or V2. I think the initial post at the moment suggests that it is for V2 only - I had it installed on my V1 but had problems as per my older post. There's also potentially a boot loop issue with the post before yours that may be caused by...

It's sort of a forced full refresh.... It happens to me sometimes too.

    DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000000.1.R.200319.zip

I'm not sure if I missed it the first time, or if Andy updated the original post, but it does say V2 devices only, which mine isn't. So perhaps that's why I was having issues...? Mines a DHI-5216-4KS2 (V1.0). Is there firmware for this v1 in the works Andy? Thank you. EDIT: Just found...

I think that's a Chrome thing - does it work if you hold Shift and press F5 to refresh the page when on the white screen?
