Dahua NVR - Can I receive IVS Push Notifications on DMSS app via public IP and open inbound ports with P2P Disabled?

@cam-da I guess you already answered your own question in bold with your first observation: Q: Is it technically possible to receive push messages (IVS Tripwire, IVS Intrusion) on the smartphone if I have set up the smartphone via public IP e.g. 80.128.x.x and port 39001 and subscribe to the...

Dahua NVR no push notifications in DMSS on Apple iOS with active subscription for SMD rules and IVS rules

@cam-da Yes , it is still port 8888, see below , 2 events triggered one on Android (port 443) and the other on IOS (port 8888). These ports are fixed in the firmware of the NVR (can not be changed ) and are only needed to be open in the outbound direction of your firewall.

Dahua NVR no push notifications in DMSS on Apple iOS with active subscription for SMD rules and IVS rules

@cam-da The reason it does work with Android is that port 443 of the NVR is open in the firewall to the outside world. To get in working on IOS you need to have port 8888 in the firewall open to the outside world. Have a chat with your network admin on this subject.

    Unable to map SMB/NFS

You want your Dahua camera to store data in the share, so your camera should be able to reach that share. How is that camera hooked up into your network, is it in the same subnet (192.168.1.xxx) or is it connected to a PoE port on a NVR?

Dahua NVR, DMSS and P2P - How are they connected?

@bigredfish Thanks for the effort you put into this DMSS investigation. I can confirm ( my own observations) that for receiving push messages it is not needed to have a DMSS account or P2P enabled, however the result could still depend on the hardware / firmware version used in the NVR and the...

Asus Router 68U OpenVPN Setup issues :/

@Rockjaw Best is to check the logging in your Asus 68u router, there should be more info on why you are not able to connect. Probably you need to change "HMAC authentication" to SHA256 .

    Dahua Camera DNS

@Tic Since you are using a Asus router you could install the lastest Merlin firmware ( if you not already did?). This has the extra option to run a local NTP server on your Asus router , so you can configure your own local NTP server in your NVR. When enable the option "CAM Time Sync" in NVR ...

3(or more) PoE switches to one Dahua non-PoE NVR?

@Tic Because your are using a NON-PoE NVR, your NVR and Cams are on the same network ,so there is no need to enable the "Virtual Host". This option only makes sense when Cams are connected to a PoE port on a NVR. In that case the Cams are on a different network. To be able to acces any Cam...

Dahua Keeps Changing IP When Static

If you connect a camera to a NVRs PoE port, you have to set the network settings of the camera to use DHCP. Did find some more relevant info here.

Dahua Keeps Changing IP When Static

So the unmanaged TP-link does not have PoE and the 3 camera connected are using a external power supply to operate ? You could have a look at the solution mentioned in this forum tread , even if you do not use a PoE-switch the procedure seems to me the same.

Only MD will Push to DMSS - Not IVS...

I guess that firmware is a custom specific release, normal releases are using zeros at the position of "1CKA" , see custom firmware screenshot below Maybe you found the "jackpot" firmware where they fixed the IVS push? It seems you are the only one with a 4.002.xxxxxx firmware that has IVS...

Only MD will Push to DMSS - Not IVS...

@Bumworms I have reacted in this tread , i also did not get the push notifications from IVS. In my setup I do not use P2P and added my NVR as a local IP to DMSS. So still using one of the first V4 firmware release and I do receive all MD and AI events as a push message on my phone ( if enabled...

    SD22204T-GN Firmware Update Issue

To make a summarization of the confusion that is created by Dahau to use the same type number DH-SD22204T-GN for units that have different hardware revision, in this case the size of eeproms to store the firmware. As mention by @Dave Lonsdale and @TVT73 So cameras made before 2017-2 will have...
