Yup, driving me bonkers.

Turning on. As in the camera is off and wont boot when power is applied until I move it, then it turns on and does it's startup sequence.

I have an SD59230U-HNI hat's been in service for years. Recently it started only turning on if I go out and move the turret around some, then it springs to life and boots. Normally I would guess there was a bad slip ring but IIRC it actually used cables. Anyone had a similar bug and solution?

No, I see where that would be possible, but to do that the IVS has to be configured on the NVR not the camera, and as I mentioned in the first post (with image)for whatever reason the smart pss refuses to allow IVS to configured on the NVR. IVS is currently configured directly on the camera.

No one has a good solution for this?

I have a DHI-NVR5432-4ks2 and several IVS cameras (like SD59230U-HNI). Since the web interfaces really don't work now, and gmail is blocking SMTP messages, I have no real way of reviewing IVS trips (or modifying them for that matter.) I use smart pss for viewing in general, but for whatever...

Yea I was thinking about just using cat 5 with breakouts for the poe and closures, but I don't think the poe will activate with a breakout? I also haven't figured out how to have a camera alarm input activate a DVR alarm output.

Are there any IR break beam sensors that can integrate into a network? I know I can probably hook regular ones up to an alarm input on a camera, but I was hoping someone might make something more plug and play, maybe even poe, but I can't find anything. Same question for pir motion sensors.

It especially annoying since I usually save several camera feeds over the same period, and I have to do it for each, I don't see a way to manually enter the time either just use the slider.

The time on the DVR, smart pss and the cameras is all synced, but whenever I got to clip a period, the time it saves is 1 hour ahead of the time selected, see the link below, starting at 7 makes it save 8, so I have to move the clipping points back one hour to get the right video, which is...

FYI, for anyone that has the same problem. I have "solved" this by having the camera reboot daily immediately following the NVRs daily reboot. I'm not sure if just daily reboots are what fixed it, or specifically being after the NVR. I suspected it could be either intermittent loss after the NVR...

As I've said, normally it would. When it goes "inactive" it will track nothing, no matter the size contrast speed ETC. It just stops working entirely.
