No reason not to use amd with latest blue iris, right?

yeah, I know , the 9900k I have is overkill, and I really love that platmform, but the 9850 is just sitting on a shelf. I am using sub streams on my BI in my house (yet another overkill machine --10980xe w/ 2x titan xps .. all watercooled) and love it. Just wasn't sure if there was some other...

No reason not to use amd with latest blue iris, right?

After a recent upgrade, I have a 9850x3d, 48g ddr5 ram, a decent 870xe mobo. My blue iris setup in my vacation home is running a 9900k/1080ti. I'm thinking of upgrading it to the AMD hardware I have -- I know in the past intel cpus were superior for blue iris setups, that's no longer the case...

More issues connecting over phone app.

under bi->status-> connections, no connection attempts. under the webserver tab, the ip address matches the host computer's ip address. Port is correct. nothing weird under advanced -- I think all stock settings; auth required from all connections, use secure session keys, auto-ban after 5...

More issues connecting over phone app.

I'm talking about accessing using the app. when I try to connect, I get "unable to connect reason: unable to reach server" the phone is listed in settings-> mobile devices I can't even connect when I'm on the same network segment, on a computer, and use a web browser, with [bi server ip...

More issues connecting over phone app.

Been using BI for ages -- haven't really had any issues with accessing using my phone. I've changed nothing on my server , and for whatever reason, I just can't connect to the server... a few points: 1) I'm using a vpn to access BI. The VPN is working properly, I can remote into the server...

any issues with BI on a 10980XE?

I'm using 24 cameras, a mix of IPC-B712IR-Z-AI and IPC-HFW71242H-Z -- I am running codeproject for imagerec, but 2x admittedly is both overkill and underkill-- overkill because I don't think it uses both, and underkill because they're titan xps, basically slightly upgraded 1080ti's. I could...

any issues with BI on a 10980XE?

Other than inefficiencies, should be no issues, right? I'm currently running BI on a 6950x, even though not a supported processor I had no problem upgrading to windows 11. But as of the last update, I can no longer get updates. Instead of hacking around it, I have an old gaming / content pc...

    help with BI phone app

I've been running BI server for several years now, with an app on my phone that has been working flawlessly. For some reason.. and for the life of me I can't imagine what I did ... the app stopped working. I've tried connecting from within the same network (same network segment, connecting to...

    recomondations for a trail cam?

looking for something with solar and 4g. This is for a piece of property I picked up -- undeveloped, no power, so looking for something I guess that hunters use? I can get out there a few times a month, so maybe something that'll last a week or two with solar., Not ring.

is there a "best practices" guide for camera setup in BI?

as a post script to this, got around to setting up substreams -- for 15 dahaua cameras recording at 4000x3000, with substreams at 720p set up, I'm running at 15-17% consistently, and about 9% on the gpu. Very nice! I may actually keep this hardware.
