Billv, did you ever get the General_IPC-HX3(2)XXX_Eng_P_V2.420.0000.0.R.20140414.bin firmware to update on your old qsees? I have some as well and tried the config tool with no luck. Also do you try to view the video via a web browser. That won't work either. Thanks

Yeah it is strange, as I changed it back to the previous password with special characters. But did so in the web GUI so your point stands. The only other thing I am thinking is in all my troubleshooting I locked it out and it needed longer then the minute it said to be reset. Anyway, thanks...

Ok, I just changed it to a single character and it worked. There must be something with the characters I was using. Hopefully my diary amuses someone else.
