It's a Hikvision DS-2CD3345-I. I think that may be the case, what a plonker I feel like now, especially after making this thread - I don't know why but I incorrectly assumed it support wifi.
It's not really an issue with my setup but it would have been nice.
Thanks for your quick response.
Hi everyone,
So I have received my camera (I am still waiting for the NVR). however I am trying it out and trying to get it setup wirelessly so I can see the quality.
I have been able to setup and get it working fine over LAN (when I have an ethernet cable connected). However I am struggling...
Thanks for the advice
Okay, I was hoping for someone to say the cheaper drives were okay but I would rather pay the extra if the cheaper ones are much more likely to cause issues. You sound pretty confident on that and the Purple drives seem a popular drive.
So I should go with the 1TB Purple...
Hello,
I've been doing some research recently but I am fairly new to all this. I've ordered a NVR and IP camera but now I need a hard drive.
Here is what I've seen:
1. (£45) 1TB (3 year warranty)...
I have to admit I am even more confused now because the original one's I linked which you said would not work together, the seller has replied saying they will work okay but I would need to change the resolution to only 2mp which is what I wanted anyway. Is it likely they are wrong them? I see...
For around £100 I obviously wouldn't expect the 4MP Hik camera. I just wanted to know what I could expect for this budget, would I even be able to achieve 720 with a reasonable quality?
Thank you.
You're right, I am trying to cut corners to be within budget. I initially did want to spend around £100 for some cheap system and other people (from another forum) tried to tell me to go for that camera. I came here for some advice as I thought people here would be more...
I've found this which looks okay, I understand the the NVR I previously linked will not work with this as per post 4, however do you have any recommendations as to what will...
Thank you. To confirm I did take note from what you said however I wanted confirmation. I did take your advice and I have contacted the seller and am waiting for a response.
I also did look at the 2mp model but that is also a chinese model unless you're referring to something I am missing. So...
I supplied the links and simply asked if they was compatible. I'd like to know how that's being lazy. I've never had such a negative response on a forum and I use loads.. perhaps it's the subject.
I haven't come here for games. I am not familiar with IP cameras hence why this is my first purchase.
I just wanted a recommendation for a camera and NVR setup. If you don't want to help me that is okay.
