Kyle Yes the http port has to be forwarded as stated by fenderman earlier in the thread, and as also suggested by fenderman I have set the NVR to use a different port for http and forwarded that port number.

As an update, I setup another similar NVR at another site today (7616NI-I2 ) the same way I have setup the 32 channel unit and the alarm notifications are working fine from this second NVR. So it appears it is not the method but there is some other reason the 32 channel unit is not giving me...

OK - if you are referring to http outbound from the NVR, then that network has open access to the web so port 80 would not be blocked outbound from the NVR which (in PUSH mode) is the direction in which I would expect the communication to be happening. If however you are referring to port 80...
