I have used the method here to upgrade my cameras from 5.2.0 to 5.4.5, however I made a mistake at the beginning by rebooting the NVR with the HikVision TFTP running. I have a DC-7108N-SN/P, the NVR is a Chinese with English menu's, which was previously connecting to CN camera's and IVMS-4200...

Out of interest, I tried the firmware from that location, with LANG 1 (default) for that firmware, got UPGRADE FAILED. Set it to LANG 2 (CN) and it would apply, but would give 6 or 7 beeps and then dead. So TFTP back to 3.0.10 CN and it came back to life.

I downloaded my firmware from http://www1.hikvision.com/cn/download_more_699.html and tried the firmware with the LANG 1 (EN-ML) option.
