Dahua NVR and DMSS help needed

Hey can I please pop into this thread? I’ve for some time had seamless experiences with Open VPN and remote access to my NVR via DMSS app. This has all stopped working. I’ve not messed with anything. It’s been a few weeks since I needed to use it, so don’t know how long it’s been stuffed...

Can I add wireless cameras to a Dahua NVR ethernet-based setup?

Thanks Fish. How would I know if this were the case with other brands of wireless? Would most doorbells work as a wireless unit "reporting to" the Dahua system and recorded by the NVR? We regularly have need to focus in on various goings-on out the front and to the side of our property...

How to remotely view cam's and use NVR from portable devices?

Right. For some reason all the popup window settings changed when I got the VPN going. I "allowed popups" for my NVR address and now working. Go figure!? Problem is, may cam's are 192.168.50.xxx:10080...10081....10082..... I can open all except the 1st, withe abovementioned error of a warning...

How to remotely view cam's and use NVR from portable devices?

As is my modus-operandi, I make sure that when I get something working, I break something else!! New issue: - since I got OpenVPI up and running, I can't access cams individually. That is, if I log into the NVR (192.168.50.xxx), no worries. But if I then go to "Cameras", I get the usual list...

Hi guys. Been using this cam for some time with few issues. I keep playing around with settings and it's getting dialled in. A few things I wanted to ask: - I have been successfully using the "strobe" function + "voice deterrent"., but: a) I am yet to figure out how to record and use a...

How to remotely view cam's and use NVR from portable devices?

Further: - all working now. It turned out to be an issue with the WAN address issued by my interwebs provider. Now all working well, and I can see my cams via my Dahua NVR using the DMSS app. Great! I just worked my way through the link provided. Thanks guys. Now onto remote access to...

How to remotely view cam's and use NVR from portable devices?

Ok. Next questions that are hurting my head guys! 1. If I'm at home, and the VPN is not installed on a client (or is installed and turned off), shouldn't I be able to access my router at its "normal" address (192.168........)? 2. The VPN seems to work (I trialed a username and password on my...

How to remotely view cam's and use NVR from portable devices?

Tried both. Also tried a laptop directly into router via Ethernet to make sure it wasn’t switch or something else..... Addit: So went back to the guide (above) and, rather than logging into my router with 192.168.50.xxx, I used https://[name of my VPN}.asuscomm.com:8443 This got me back into...
