    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

SOLVED!!!!! Woo Hoo! Finally got it working, and after all the troubleshooting and mucking around it was as simple as 3 of the Cat6 cables were cross wired so it was obviously sending back something that would keep knocking out the rest of the cameras. They have been repaired now and all 10...

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

I've factory reset it a few times with no change. I have 3 types of cameras:- DS-2CD2542FWD DS-2CD2142FWD-IS DS-2CD2042WD-I They are all International models and are able to be upgraded and were all upgraded a few months ago when I tested them at a different house.

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

Yes, it doesn't matter what way I access it, it'll come and go.

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

I just checked then and all the ports on the back of the NVR were flashing away happily even though there was No Link for all cameras on the NVR. As I have this happening on 10 cameras, I think the chances of all the Cat6 being faulty would surely be minuscule.

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

Hi Paul, My cameras are all connected to the NVR and they are given an ip of 192.168.254.x. My local network is 192.168.0.x and SADP Tool shows the NVR with an IP of 192.168.2.64 for some unknown reason. I have set up Virtual Host but as the cameras are not showing I cannot connect to them...

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

I am not sure how it has been supplied 2 IP addresses, as I only have one IP range in the network and that is 192.168.0.x I can access it via browser on that IP range and nothing in my network has as 192.168.2.x IP range, so I am not sure where it is coming from. The only thing I can think of...

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

I have been doing more troubleshooting and have got to a point where the NVR now sometimes sees the cameras but will only stay connected for a few minutes, and can then go down for hours, and when the cameras are there, they the picture flickers on and off too, until it goes offline completely...

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

Thanks for the I had already tried that and it still didn't work. I do think it is some deeper issue to do with my network, which I have to troubleshoot. Its just such a pain!

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

Ah thanks for that, I thought I was all good to set it up and I am being such a noob! When I set the cameras to DHCP on SADP Tool, they are also not given the 192.168.254 IP range and is given the same range that the Laptop is given, could there be an issue with the NVR giving out IP's? When I...

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

Wireless is as an access point so uses the same IP range as wired. Not sure why the NVR won't give my laptop an IP in the 192.168.254 range, but I can still see the cameras from my Laptop.

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

That is the only way I am able to see the cameras, and they are all on 192.168.254.2-9 (or 2-17 with the 16 port NVR) and the NVR is given the IP of 192.168.0.36 from the Router. I cannot change that IP to match the 192.168.254.1 as it obviously clashes with it. I cannot remember what IP the NVR...

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

It has a IP of 192.168.0.36. All the cameras have the same IP range as the numbers listed in the NVR and I've set the default gateway to match the NVR's internal NIC. Still nothing showing up, I've reset cameras and the NVR and have had no joy, I'm at a loss as to what's gone wrong.

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

Thanks for the tips, the IP range that all the IP address are 192.168.254.2 - 192.168.254.9 (Currently using an 8 Port, but was the same with the 16 Port) and the camera IP's have been changed to match the NVR's IP's. I have also made sure that the default Gateway is 192.168.254.1. They still...

NVR cannot see cameras, but SADPTools can?

Hi, I am hoping to get some help at all and this may be a little bit of a long read as I am not sure if all information is pertinent. I bought 10 Hikvision cameras and a DS-7616NI-I2/16P NVR as I was building a new house, and they arrived a few months before I moved in. I tested all the cameras...
