One thing I failed to do initially after flashing the NVR was a factory reset. My IVS wouldn’t work until I factory reset the NVR after the firmware update.
I’m using one of the newer firmware versions and it’s been working great for me, but my cameras are also running newer firmware versions as well. DMSS connects just fine, playback is good, and I get IVS.
So I think I ran into the same problem initially. I think it’s because whatever file that updates the logo wasn’t/isn’t in the base file that we all started with. Once you update to latest Dahua firmware for the NVR, it should be there.
Well I just want to make sure that you can boot the system normally (without trying to flash it) and get it on your network. If that works you should take note of the network settings that are configured and use these to setup the network setting when booting via serial. Are you able to boot the...
so I’ll ask some initial questions first...did you have good network connection before attempting this process...with the NVR booted? That’ll probably be setup one to make sure you have all your IP address info correct. Next, once you’re in the boot menu and setup the IP address info, you need...
That’s what I’m thinking. That or maybe I need to update my camera firmware? I’m running a build from 12/2019 on the cameras, and the NVR I believe is a build from 03/2020.
hmm, interesting. I did turn it on on the camera. On the NVR I consistently get the red “Disconnected” pop up when I click Smart Plan, and when I click IVS I get the red “Failed to acquire config” pop up.
So after messing around with the updated firmware and my cameras, i can't seem to get IVS working. I have IVS set up on one of my cameras, SmartPlan enabled and several tripwires. I turned on the Intelligent option in the recording manager. Not sure if this is just a byproduct of the hardware...
Well it's official. I did it. I'm now running the latest Dahua firmware on the Speco branded NVR. Special thanks to sstevetx and val-ipcam for trying this out first and taking a lot of the unknown out. Everything went exactly as described previously. As mentioned before, I tried the method that...
