I have a Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZAS-S2 2.7 camera. I want to use it with software that grabs 1 JPG off the camera with a single URL. Some cameras use formats like http://10.0.1.32/user=username?pw=password ; what is the right format for this camera?

I'm sing Opera and Firefox, and seeing a black page (although ping tells me it can see the device). Maybe I'm missing this IE plug-in - what's that?

Thanks. I've looked - very good info in the cliff notes. I'm not sure I understand what SouthernYankee message you mean, haven't found it. Still happy to receive suggestions for models matching those criteria - I didn't see the answer in the cliff notes.

I'd love some suggestions for a model that has: outdoor all season Power over Ethernet at least 5MP image quality doesn't need to PTZ or move/scan I want to use it with my own software (ONVIF) which has intelligent detection etc. - I won't be using an existing security system or the camera...
