Thank you for this! After I read your post I downloaded and installed EzViz Studio, then navigated to the doorbell's Advanced setting. Immediately after doing that I checked my 3rd party app and the RTSP stream was there again! I never downgraded the firmware or tried any other...
Cool! I had already glued the pieces together to show the doorbell video on my Google displays when someone presses the doorbell using my HA software HomeSeer, IP cam software iSpy (like Blue Iris), and this wonderful little device which doesn't appear to be available anymore:
Nexia Z-Wave...
I made use of it with my RCA. There is a trigger in the EZVIZ IFTTT channel for when there is motion detected. A snapshot is also automatically recorded in the app whenever motion is detected. PIR sensors are usually better than analyzing video, plus I don't want to only detect humans. How...
Checkout what this POS woodpecker did to the PIR sensor on my doorbell. I put electrical tape over the hole to keep moisture out, and low and behold, no more motion events. Now the only thing that shows up in my history log in the app are button presses.
Having the onboard PIR sensor always...
I too have the car trigger problem. Does anyone know of a solution?
I don't think you would want the device itself recording 24/7. I don't think it can but I'm not sure. You could record the stream 24/7 with a PC app like iSpy (that's what I use) or Blue Iris if you wanted to.
Is anyone using the EZVIZ IFTTT channel? I'm using it in conjunction with the HomeSeer channel. It is slow to respond at best, and takes many minutes at worst. Is this what to expect with IFTTT, or are one of the other two parties to blame for the slowness?
Oh, darn. That's not what I had in mind. I was hoping I could just send simple http requests from any environment like nearly every other IP camera supports (at least all of mine). I didn't know I would need to utilize an SDK to interact with it. Boo.
I'm very curious to learn more about this. Not to send the reboot command, but to send other commands, or get information. Do you have any links to the documentation for this API and/or know where I can see a code sample?
I think the Hik-connect app did the trick. I flew threw the screens and didn't read, but after logging in via hik-connect with my ezviz account, I could then use my ezviz account info in the RCA app. All 3 apps can now use the same credentials. Thanks for the help!
I tried entering the credentials I use for the RCA app into the EZVIZ app and it didn't work. When first setting up the doorbell, I did the new user registration via the RCA app. Both accounts use the same email address but have different passwords. Any ideas how I can make it so 1 account...
I see in post #504 that we can at least get PIR events via IFTTT when using the EZVIZ app. New question...
When we register the doorbell with another app, is there anything that starts happening twice? Alarm notifications for instance. Does the previous app continue to work?
Edit: Found out...
I see EZVIZ has IFTTT integration. Does anyone know if I can utilize that integration with the RCA HSDB2A doorbell, or how I would set that up? I created an account on EZVIZ's website but can't see where to add cameras. Perhaps I must do that through a phone app?
Thank you very much for those tips. I was able to find the sensitivity setting in the RCA app. That iVMS-4200 software looks handy so I'll definitely give that a try. What version are you using. There's an "AC" version and some others with vastly different version numbers.
Is there any...
