    Sending motion events to NVR

Got it, the dropdown I had previously seen only let me select one: But in storage I can add motion (and alarm while I'm at it): I'm already seeing some yellow markers: I'll keep an eye on it, but I think that's what I was missing. Thanks!

Wouldn't that only record when there is motion? Maybe that's what I'm missing. I was expecting/hoping to be able to record continuously but mark when there was motion.

One other thought, I can change other settings from the NVR: But I don't see the motion settings in the NVR. I updated those directly in the cameras. So maybe the NVR doesn't support it?

Oh, I see. I thought the "Setting" buttons on the right weren't doing anything, but when I click one it updates below. For example, I clicked Setting for Wed and it updated the checkbox and times below:

Not sure, but I think the green lines show it's enabled? I can draw throughout the day: Or let's say I start with this: If I check Mon (for some reason I can't uncheck Sun?) and then check the first period I end up with: Not super intuitive, but I think it's on. All green was also the...

    Sending motion events to NVR

Hi everyone, I have seven cameras and an NVR, all purchased through EmpireTech on Amazon. They are all running the [I think] latest firmware: Cameras: IPC-T2231T-ZS, firmware 2.820.0000000.48.R, Build Date: 2022-06-14 NVR: NVR5208-4KS2, firmware V4.001.0000006.1, Build Date: 2021-07-09 I...

    IVS Intrusion area inconsistent

Thanks for checking. I really don't think there is a "fix" here like I originally thought; min/max is probably just another unit. If you can calibrate the camera then it becomes more accurate with varying distance, otherwise it's probably the same throughout the whole frame.

    IVS Intrusion area inconsistent

You might be right, especially based on the calibration talk, though that would only make sense if the numbers in min/max size meant something other than pixels. Though come to think of it, the max size is a square 8191 "units" which if you convert proportionally to the pixels somewhat makes...

    IVS Intrusion area inconsistent

That's interesting, but I don't have the "Global Setup" tab with the calibration options and I don't see it mentioned in this model's manual: Either way, if we were talking about object size in inches/feet/meters/whatever, calibration makes sense. The UI appears to only be talking about...

    IVS Intrusion area inconsistent

I have a Dahua IPC-HDW2231R-ZS camera (2mp starlight varifocal). In setting up IVS intrusion I am able to set the minimum size of the object. I selected "Min Size" and "Draw Target", which resulted in the blue-ish box you see near the middle. It looks fairly square, but below it resulted in a...

    IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS doesn't show IVS

Well, that was easy! As I'm sure you knew/expected, the option is now available.

    IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS doesn't show IVS

Thanks to everyone on this forum for the good information! I just purchased my first CCTV camera, the IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS, from Empire Tech/Andy on Amazon. When I go into the settings, under "Event" I only see "Video Detection" and "Abnormality". I don't see the "IVS" option, which is where I...
