I too use WD and am interested in this. I use a .txt file created by WD for use in IPTimelapse - of course someone else developed it and helped me :) get it running.

I use a Swiffer (hand held) taped to a wood dowel. It works really well for me and I can clean the cameras without getting the ladder out.
