Can I change the Native Home position on a cheap Chinese camera?

Thank you bp2008. I think I may be out of software driven options for this camera. When the weather becomes bearable again in AZ, I may look at remounting the camera to look at the view I actually need.

Can I change the Native Home position on a cheap Chinese camera?

It actually has a schedule set up to go to that preset every hour, 24 hours a day. It goes to the preset, waits for maybe a minute then returns to the native view. I'm not a long time camera user. Will this constant movement wear out the camera sooner than normal?

Can I change the Native Home position on a cheap Chinese camera?

Hi Ri22o and bp2008, In the camera's UI, I was able to set the view I want and save it as a preset. After scouring the menus the closest thing I could find was " Linkage preset " under the Alarm menu. I've set that to the preset number I want, but I've yet to see the camera point to that area...

Can I change the Native Home position on a cheap Chinese camera?

Thank you again. I will give that a try when I have the chance. I have a few other things taking my time right now but I'll report back after I try that. :thumb:

Thank you for the quick response Ri22o. Here are some screenshots. The UI is somewhat limited.

Can I change the Native Home position on a cheap Chinese camera?

Hi fellow camera users, I have a new SV3C WiFi PTZ camera in the HX series. I was forced to mount it about 90 degrees left (north) of where I want my primary viewing area (east). So it mostly looks at an area I don't care about. Is there any way I change the primary view area to east instead of...

I also have a camera that won't connect.

Thank you for the response Bruce. Yes, I have made a new BI camera connecting to the same IP and yes it does work. I have made no new changes to the camera itself before it stopped connecting so I don't need to reset it. This post is just picking the brains of more experienced camera users to...

I also have a camera that won't connect.

I read Woody70's post hoping to find some help for my issue but mine is slightly different. I also have a cheap Chinese camera that will not connect to BI, but I CAN connect through the camera's web interface. The camera is a SV3C POE HX series and for a couple of days it performed very well...

dahua ipc-hfw4431r-z url not found in browser after factory reset

Hi wizened sages, I just did a factory reset on a dahua ipc-hfw4431r-z bullet cam. I looked up the IP address using the Dahua config tool. I wanted to change the native password first thing using the camera's web app, so I put the IP address into IE all I get is the error message saying the...

Blue IRIS 5 not allowing updates

Thank you for the in depth explanation of BI's fee model. I agree that it is a pretty good deal as well. I do find it interesting that you say they are charging only $25 for 12 months of support. I just got my annual notice and they want $31.63, the same as last year. I would think that...

    Windows 10 UAC Disables iSpy

I installed iSpy 7.2.1.0 on Windows 10 yesterday and it appears to have found and connected to my single S3VC PTZ camera. However, it is not showing a video stream and after about 2 hours of trying to configure it, suddenly it locked up and its entire window began to intermittently disappear. I...

Recommend a Decent Quality PoE NVR that Will Recognize Most ONVIF Cameras?

Thank you so much for the thorough and timely reply. It will definitely set me on the right track. It is also encouraging that I have already followed some of your advice: turret camera, no WIFI and clamp in place for test before mounting and running wire. It all makes sense. Thank you again...
