Actually we have only one analog camera left now. They all went IP after a thief cut our conduit open. I wasn't aware that each camera had its own settings beyond what I can do on the machine UI. Is that something were I'd be logging into each camera individually at a specific IP address?

He goes straight to the owner with it- who has no idea what any of it means. Quite frustrating for the end users who are left in the dark :poop:

Bear with me as I'm learning a lot of new stuff about video formatting. We have 32 cameras; frankly I don't even know what model or specifications they have because our installer keeps a much as he can to himself, so we have to call him for help. $$$$.... Looking in Rec Estimate in my storage...

Wow- y'all are killing it with the helpful advice. Our security contractor is skilled at reaming us for whatever he can get because the owner would just pay without question. Sounds like I'll be discussing a PC/BI setup with the other manager. We already have a space PC that doesn't get used...

While on the subject of the X54 models... looks like the hardware is recording in 5M-N- so all our 4K cameras aren't doing s*** for us because our XVR isn't recording any higher. May be looking into a new XVR- is that typically why folks will use BlueIris- avoid buying a pricy and hardware...

Is BlueIris a standalone software we could use on our current Dahua hardware? The Dahua software is just ridiculously unintuitive.

We're using Dahua's software, looks like XVR 4.0 if that helps? I'm really not skilled with this stuff; but learning it myself is easier than calling the company we contract with for our surveillance system.

Your "ENCODE" menu shows entirely different options. While you have "Encode Mode, Snapshot, and Overlay" I have only "Audio/Video and Snapshot" Its wild to me that these GUIs can vary so extremely! Here's what my screen shows: Here's my Overlay screen:
