I couldn't find anything specific in the wiki for wide angle dewarped cams. I'm looking for something about 130° without the fisheye look.

Looking for wide angle onvif wired or wifi cam with "dewarped" FOV. Any recommendations?

Has anyone tried to open a u-bell to see if it's possible to rotate the camera 90° inside the case? That would be the perfect FOV for my porch.

That "should" be good, but I think the complaints about weak wireless are probably because 16V10A is just barely enough power for it.

Make sure the voltage of your transformer is adequate. The wifi will be weak and the unit may even reboot when the doorbell is rung if your transformer isn't up to the task. I got a 16v 30A transformer from amazon for $18.

I think the notifications are all or none. You can use IE browser to connect to the doorbell and deselect the area where the cars pass by so it they don't trigger a motion event though.

LOL. Yeah, that's definitely the plan unless I know I can quickly roll back. I just like to keep all of my stuff up to date whenever possible. So far, this little thing is pretty amazing just how it is for only $50.

I've had this running for about a week now with no issues. Running FW 171225. I thought about trying the latest firmware, but worried it might have the "subscriber not available" audio if unanswered and I can't find 171225 to roll back if that is the case. Can anyone verify if 180809 has that...

The $49 U-Bell from brandsmart is working perfectly! Continuous recording on hik 7616 NVR with motion and doorbell alerts on phone via the Uniden app. Audio quality is not great, but still better than expected for something so small. The only hangup was a weak 30-40 year-old 10V 5A transformer...

Does hik sell any outdoor dome cameras to other vendors for rebranding like they do with the video doorbell?

Yeah, I'm not worried about the web stuff. I was just curious if there was any way to get other cameras to mark motion on the NVR console timeline like the hik cameras do. Looks like I'll need to ditch the cheapo cameras and find a couple more hiks.

From what I understand, the "smart" marks on the timeline don't even show for hik cameras on any of the web/ivms/connect clients. Just on the console.

I'm talking about the playback timeline on the nvr console. The little green marks only show up for the hik cams. The other cams support motion detection and send alerts, but nothing on the timeline.
