    Recordings Fail

Just scanned disk for errors and then defragged. Processor is a intel I7 series 27% memory use. Lots of free memory left. Cameras are all HD foscams. But like I said BI was ok for 5 years. I don't much believe in coincidences, the recordings started working right at exactly 10am. After doing...

    Recordings Fail

I have 10 HD cameras and have used BI over 6 years. Everything worked great. Recently however the recordings shown on the clips list won't play. Or at least some of them. Spiders Bugs and Alarms

I have written motion sensor algorithms and plenty of other software programs. The blue iris software could be modified fairly easily to disregard motion of a specific color. For example red or green motion could be ignored. There has been no reason to include that kind of check in the blue iris...

    Spiders Bugs and Alarms

Most of us have been troubled by bugs setting off our motion sensors. I have several cameras outside (under the eaves) that are especially susceptible to these false alarms. Good Tip -- I found that by placing mothballs in a stainless steel tea ball infuser and hanging it behind (outside)...
