From memory, if your motion sensitivity is set to zero you will get the notification email but no recording of the event. I vaguely remember this happening to me and finding the zero setting by accident. I'm using f/w 5.2.5 and successfully record motion events on an nvr.

@Traviesco I got 273 motion triggers in 3 hours last night from a newly resident spider. This from motion sensitivity 1. This is why I don't use a gmail account for this camera. Wish I could set an "and" statement for motion and line crossing. Good luck with whatever you finish with.

My NVR log can be accessed via the web browser and can extract motion and smart events. Not sure whether it can record them while continuously recording but it does record them if the camera is running and the NVR is not actually recording a particular camera.

My experience is email for motion - low res images and alert only, no jpeg, for either line crossing or intrusion.

I use iVMS 4200 on pc and haven't been able to find it so don't think it is possible in this package. Wish it was and would love to be proved wrong.

Available as both High and Low trigger. I think Arduino is natively low trigger. Read the description don't just look at the photo ... don't ask me why I recommend this :-)
