Does the 5241E-Z12E still have focusing issues at full zoom? I read it's best to keep it around 80% zoomed for best results? That cuts the camera a bit short for me. Really need the full zoom or more like 90% at least. Thanks for any info.

You can also try running gaffer tape around the outside shell seal line. You'd be amazed how well good quality gaffer tape works. You gotta put it on just right. Any wrinkles and it defeats the purpose.

One of my turret cameras had this problem. Opened it and dried it out. But the cause of the problem was one of the shell screws wasn't tightened enough. I noticed it immediately. Of course when I put it back together I made sure all the shell screws are tight. No problem since. Now, dome cameras...

You do have smart (ivs) checked off under the playback time line? If that's not checked off to be included there'll just be blank spots in the green playback where the blue ivs events should be. Incredibly obvious but...

I have a camera and a ring doorbell pro. I would not do without either. Love the ring doorbell.

When any gadget is whacked out the first thing to try is always a reboot. Even a full shut down, wait a couple minutes, restart. Whether that helps you won't know till you try.

I've had that. Plus the thumbnails don't show on events. I've started a nvr restart schedule every Sunday morning. Seems help clear out the cobwebs.

To me the onborad camera ir alone looks best. With the additional ir you're losing light at furthest distance. For me, additional ir should be used to add light at the furthest distance in your shot, not add more light closer in. These cameras have superb ir on their own. The old style tendelux...

The noise comes from the power supply fan. You can replace just that one with a noctua and seriously reduce noise. The smaller side fan isn't worth noodling with imo. That's not really where the bulk of the noise comes from.
