I'm actually using a DS-7616NI-I2 and various DS-2CD2085 cameras with the latest firmware. When activating motion detection I'm able to see Alarm in the tab "Alarm Event" and it seems that I also get an Alarm notifcation in the Main live view. However, I do not manage to get alarm informations...

Are there any severe concerns about the firmware upgrade? I never did one on Hikvision NVR/cameras. Do I do the firmware upgrade locally in the network about the web UI or what is the best way?

Dear members, I'm experiencing some difficulties in configuring my Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4 NVR with 6 x HikVision DS-2CD2142FWD-IS. I want to record the cameras continuously but also want to do motion detection in order to be able to search better in the recordings when movement occurs...

Sounds good - however I fear to update at the moment ....

Thanks elastic1 - I'm currently in exactly the same situation you are. Is there a way to display it in the browser? I also only see solid blue bar showing the 24x7 recordings.

I just figured it out. It was my fault because I used a german keyboard connected to the NVR where I typed the password. Instead of Z I typed Y without recognizing it. So I did it on the NVR with the mouse and it works fine. No bug... By the way: On my NVR I have to at least choose more than 8...

I also tried to access it via Internet Explorer ... everytime I get the result: "Incorrect user name or password. The device will be locked after 6 failed login." I'm using the same login credentials I get access to the Menu directly on the NVR - user admin and the correct password.
