    Success!! This test video demonstrates that this camera definitely stores manual focus points for each preset: Now I just have to get a junction box, put it out by the bees, and update my streaming configuration.

    Thanks! I found it on amazon for $278, which is certainly within my budget, seeing as I paid $229 for my RLC-423, 7 years ago. 4X zoom is fine, as that's what I have now. Low-light performance is not of concern, since the bees don't come out at night, and they only get night-time intruders...

    How much data do you need to receive before you get the ID? On my 2011 vehicle it takes 60+ seconds for my own car to get a full reading of pressures from 4 tires. But I'm guessing that is 4 complete transactions. Is a handshake enough to get a unique ID? And how unique are the unique IDs?

    It's dark now. So here's the side-by-side with the Vigilant cameras IR LEDs on Manual at 100/100. The Dahua's LEDs are off: and the reverse, with the Vigilant's off, and the Dahua at 100: The Dahua illuminates quite a bit more evenly. But in an LPR application we don't care, do we?
