I agree with the others above. If you don't have much light, the PTZ5AM-25X will work well. Here is an example with no added lights on my driveway--just the PTZ5AM's built-in IR. Also, the beta software of the animal firmware is working very well with this camera. -

Hope someone can help me with this. I just installed a new camera with my Dahua NVR. No problems with that, but when I try to access the camera (on channel 2) to make settings via the web interface on my computer, I get the message: “Please use HTTPS to access” I have never had that happen... -

Bird deterrent for turret cameras?
Just wondering if any of you have suggestions for bird deterrents for turret cameras. Bird spikes work great at keeping birds off my PTZ cameras, but I haven't yet found anything that works equally well for turret cameras. -

I just replaced one of my SD49225XA-HNR cameras this morning with a PTZ5A4M-25X. It is definitely worth the upgrade; but as others have mentioned, it is a beast!
