    BI 5482 breaks camera groups

I noticed this morning that when I open the URL to view my cameras I can only view one at a time. Worked fine yesterday. Got a message stating "Webcasting may not be enabled for some of your camera groups" Does anyone know how to get all my cameras back onto one screen? I run Blue Iris on it's...

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

This high MP really should be in a 2/3" size minimum for low light, and 1/1.8" minimum for daylight but I guess we'll see. Maybe technology is advancing quickly enough where tiny sensors care more capable than older and larger sensors.

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

With that size sensor and 8MP I am assuming the low light performance will be sub par. I would love to be proven wrong. I'll wait to see the reviews. For now the 5442 is my camera of choice and is replacing my 2MP 5231's where I don't need the varifocal

Six Strand Pre-Terminated Single-Mode LC Fiber Optic Cable Installation Question on Wall Plate

Okay good to know. Thank you. I get green lights on all three pairs so I know there is a connection. There must be something set up incorrectly with the MikroTik switches that is throttling download speeds so much.

Six Strand Pre-Terminated Single-Mode LC Fiber Optic Cable Installation Question on Wall Plate

Does anyone know if there is a specif color grouping / pairing for the six single mode fiber strands when run in duplex mode? Or can they be matched / grouped in whatever way? I currently paired the six strands as such: green / blue orange / white grey / brown I ran an underground fiber line...

    5231 vs. 5442 turrets

I have four 5231's and I had just ordered another 5231 to use on my office build out -- but then started to read the review(s) of the 5442. So I waited to unbox the 5231 and ordered one 5442 2.8mm. Wow. Easily as good or better low light than the 5231. So I am sending the unopened 5231 back...

    EmpireTech's got Hikvision Cameras?! (IPC-T2347G-LU)

Interesting................................... I have four EmpireTech IPC-HDW5231R-ZE IP cameras and I generally love the low light performance but I was hoping for a bump in clarity the 4MP Hikvision seemed to resolve. It appears the Dahua 5442TM you linked to has the same 1/1.8" sensor...

    EmpireTech's got Hikvision Cameras?! (IPC-T2347G-LU)

Is the 14 day shipping to U.S. accurate? Was just about to order another IPC-HDW5231R-ZE this morning but saw this and I am intrigued enough to pick one up. Also, will this camera work with EmpireTech PFA130-E Water-Proof Junction Box Bracket? I have a couple hanging around and I'd like to use...

Six Strand Pre-Terminated Single-Mode LC Fiber Optic Cable Installation Question on Wall Plate

Update on office build. Floor is installed and all cables are punched through the floor and the floor openings are sealed with closed-cell foam. Wall / window frames are up and mostly set. Windows came in today. I'll be working on terminating the Cat 6 lines once the outside wall is up and...

Honestly not sure if there is a difference between POE and POE+. Still doing research and still not an expert.

    Questions on switches

I am currently using three TP-LINK TL-SG108PE 8-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE in my house network. Attached are pics of my setup. I also utilize a UniFi system and Key for easy monitoring. To answer your question(s): 1. The 8 port switch does not need a 9th port. You basically...
