We have a 1000 ft drive that is not a straight run and to monitor the property in that direction. I guess I could use multiple cams but figured that the PTZ cam could be set to do a sweep of the property. I know the cam won't be able to zoom in 1k ft but better than nothing I suppose.

I have read HIK's are good cams it just seems the ones that have the capabilities as the imporx cams are very pricey (may not have looked in the right corners for them) and the ones on Amazon don't seem to have many reviews on them.

SO as a newb to cams what is the realistic longevity of standard cams in the $180 price range? The Cisco cams I have are no longer available (discontinued) but brand new seemed to cost around 1k abd look to be 7yrs old or more. So in my newb experience it seems the higher they are priced the...
Will do. I am hoping that these last as I would like to outfit my system with a few of these as I noticed if you go under the configuration tab and the image tab then to the "other" tab you can increase the zoom to 100x however I have it set to 20x instead of the 10X and so far it can focus with...
Not so good news for people in the south like me where temps lately have been 103+ degrees in the shade....
Of course mine is inside where it is at a nice 75* strapped to my chair while I get all the settings sorta correct and so I can play with it.

Thanks Fenderman,
I got it working but not under the norman circumstances as brand auto set to gereric in stead of either Huisun or Importx. Strange when I select the Find/Inspect tab.
Could be the naturwe of the cam?

Hey all, I novice here. I have a similar issue with getting the PTZ feature to work in BI. It works just fine on the web page.
I have made sure all admn settings were enabled in the Huisun page as well as in BI. I tried ONVIF as well as the HIK ptz in settings in BU as well as made sure ports...
I do not have that option to pick OXML my version of BI is 4.3.9.6 x64 I have triad a few different one but none have given me the PTZ ability. I'll just keep fiddling around.
So I got my mini cam today.. Yayy but am unable to log into it with the 192.168.0.99 IP address Boooooo. I do not even see it on my network. I am using IE10 but not sure that would keep me from logging in. Have I got a DOA cam?
The only thing I planned to carry over from the other would be the settings. I would not migrate the DB over as there would be too many differences in machines that could effect the vid DB.
