My dahua cams also crash and reboot daily or every other day. My Hikvision does not. I have to check the cabling again and will be swapping camera locations so let's see.

My setup is different I guess. I record 24/7. I'm using milestone not BI btw. I'll keep tinkering I'm probably missing something.

Hey I got the active deterrance 3449 from Andy but I cannot get it to play a message through milestone even though I seem to have it configured. Also through IVS Object Filter Human I cannot get it to play the strobe or an alarm. Can you advise please ? How did you get the API thing to work ?

Then you fucked up the install haha. You will need to make sure its all shut down before any updates.

It worked fine. Did you stop ALL the services first ? I had problem with Dahua Metadata plugin because when I installed it I forgot to stop all the services. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and problem solved.

Yikes. But it's fine with 8 cams. Granted I am having issues. It's not perfect. I upgraded to 2020 R3 and now I have issues with mobile app and web view. The feeds keep crashing and I have to restart mobile server. Also having issues with metadata / logging now. Trying to fix it now. EDIT...
