My dahua cams also crash and reboot daily or every other day. My Hikvision does not. I have to check the cabling again and will be swapping camera locations so let's see.

Hey I got the active deterrance 3449 from Andy but I cannot get it to play a message through milestone even though I seem to have it configured. Also through IVS Object Filter Human I cannot get it to play the strobe or an alarm. Can you advise please ? How did you get the API thing to work ?

It worked fine. Did you stop ALL the services first ? I had problem with Dahua Metadata plugin because when I installed it I forgot to stop all the services. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and problem solved.

How much does it cost? I don't have anymore issues with milestone but I'm thinking 12 cam might be too expensive with milestone. Imho milestone better for up to 8 cams. Then above 8 BI might be better until you hit enterprise levels of cams.

Just an update. Milestone is awesome. I have intrusion/line crossing working on my 5442 and it logs so easy to find people. My issue with slow start-up is also fixed I don't know how. I tinkered around and it fixed it. Just applied some hotfixes too. 4 cams so far but room for 4 more free.

I got rules setup and got IVS working actually (using Intrusion) but not sure about SMD. Also I can't get Alarms Manager tab to show in xprotect management client so I'd have to check server logs for timestamps manually. At least its better than nothing I guess.
