I can't see the stream on the Dahua interface? However i see it very clearly in Blue Iris.
Could it be a bandwith issue? I have 2mbps upload on a good day... yeah, third world internet. I live very far from any city.
If it is indeed a bandwith issue do you have tips for me on how...
From my limited knowledge and coming from the same reflexion last week, i ordered the turrets and the junction boxes. The downside is its a little bulkier but not by much and you get more waterproofing and a small hole in your house.
Bottom line is i ordered 4 cameras and the 4 junction boxes...

Yesterday i spoke with Andy and ordered this;
3x IPC-HDW2231R-ZS
1x IPC-HDW5231R-ZE
And some mounts and junction boxes. The 2231s will be watching the two entrance, i have a U-shaped entrance. Also a 2231 to watch my garage doors. The 5231 is going to watch my front door...
Okay guys here we go just returned my Lorex kit at Costco and bought Blue Iris right here.
Now waiting for Andy ! :)

I'm happy to know i can run Blue Iris on my computer, while not ideal like you said. I think i'm going to go this route for now and dedicated machine will be a fun winter project.
What is the prefered method of install? Camera → Switch → Router → CPU ?
