Hi there,

i'm owning four Hikvision camera's and three of them records perfectly on my Qnapnas.
With all the excact same settings in the software the camera which is not connecting to my nas
says invalid path or username / password . I checked the settings a hundred times but still no result.
The firmware in the camera is version 5.3 and it's a Hikvision DS-2CD2410FD-IW.
I hope someone can help me out on this i'm getting frustated after hours of trying to get it working.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Willem

Is the problem camera the same model as the working 3, and is it on the same firmware version as the working 3?

Is this via Surveillance Station or when a NAS share has been connected as a NetHDD?

If Surveillance Station, if the problem camera has a complex or very long password, try changing it to something simpler and see if it connects.

If NetHDD, do you have separate share folders set up for each camera?
That's a requirement for a NetHDD connection.

Thanks for your quick reply on my question.

Indeed it is configured as a NetHdd and the firmware is different from the other cams because it are different cams.
For username and password i have used admin and admin just to make it simple for the first installation.
I also made four different shares on my nas each for one camera.
I checked over and over again and i think it's a networkproblem because the not working camera does not see the nas and says the drive is offline.
Also it's not possible to check the box in the camerasoftware for the hdd meaning it does not see the nas.

Thanks again and i hope this information can make it more clear for you.

Willem

Have you correctly configured your gateway and dns settings - I find when this is not done there can be all sorts of networking issues.

I did a stupid action i upgraded the firmware to a higher one and now the camera is bricked.
i tried through the hikvision tftp program to downgrade the firmware but it the camera is not coming online anymore.
Is there somone in this forum who can help me get the camera working again .
it's a chinese model but when i bought it (secondhand) it had a european firmware.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

i think it is a chinese model because on the box it says DS-2CD3410F-IW but when it worked in IVMS 4200 it was displayed as
DS-2CD2410F-IW so i think the guy i bought it from already did put in another firmware.
I already used the tftp software with different firmwares but still no luck.
I can ping my camera at the adress 192.0.0.64 but nothing more than that.

Thanks again for your reply and i hope there's a solution for this problem
