The help file in BI. 
I also need help on this (did a search in help file) want to add a 2nd HD hidden, as a backup, in case something happens to PC. can anyone help us out ?
how to add a clone camera, hide it, and select change or add a external HD for the recordings?
I don't understand how to change folder or path? There is no info on BI help

Ok thanks. Also Need help pointing files to back up hard drive, Do I go under "record" tab: in camera settings? If I do I see an option to default or new folder ? the existing looks something like this %m%d_%H%M%S
I tried typing in the new HD letter and directing it to new HD, but it did not work. ? Really need help with assigning new HD to duplicate camera

you first need to create the folder in the clips tab...then you can select it from the dropdown in the record tab.

I do not understand.. Do you mean the clips on the far right side of screen when in camera view? That shows new alert recordings?
Or inside the duplicate cameras properties? I do not see a "Clips" tab in properties?

Global settings? where do I find those? Sorry for the newb questions.. I need basic instructions of how to do this.. I have already created a duplicate camera.. (as you advised earlier,) I want to store the video files from the new duplicate cmera onto a hidden external HD, in case anything happens to my P.C.
I do not need help with hiding thecamera at this point, I need help with assigning the hidden external HD to store the video picture clips from the new duplicate camera.

you really need to read the manual..if you have never seen the clips and archiving tab then your system is setup poorly and you are not retaining enough video...
Clips and archiving? Is that not for ALL of your cameras?
I and the original OP, just want to store clips from a "new cloned" camera. That is what most people have suggested, although I have searched High and low and can not find simple ABC instructions how to back up the clips from our new cloned cameras to a portable HD for back up in case something happens to our main PC (meaning someone steals our PC and we lose all the clips with it) Can someone please give us some instructions how to do this step by step? You will have many people thank you as I, nor anyone else wanting to do this can find help via instructions how to do this.

SO I created a new folder (4th slot under new, stored, alerts, lets call the new folder "WD") under clips and archiving under settings, then I went into camera properties under record tab and can not find the new "WD" folder ? all I see is a folder that says &CAM.%Y%m%d_%%%%%%% ? Do I need to delete this? and type in manually the new folder "WD" that I created?
There is an option for new or stored ? or use default? But it does not change the &CAM.%Y%m%%%%%%% folder ? When I try to change that folder to "WD" it gets an error message that says folder destination must begin or end with "cam" ?

It will be in the drop-down in the reco
that is because you failed to read the help file...you must first in clips and archiving create the folder AND tell blue iris where that folder will be stored...THEN you can see the new folder in the dropdown in the record tab. DO NOT TYPE or change anything in the record tab other than selecting WD from the dropdown.
