Sample: Autotracking in full color under low (street)light conditions. I'm using two intrusion boxes. One across the road and one across the sidewalk. This is the result. Any comments?

Both recordings are at 1080p, so best to set Youtube at that resolution.

I have the time for tracking set to the max 300 seconds, but i still cannot figure out why it doesn't track that full time. It seems to loose the subjects too soon. Any ideas?
Are you using IVS for auto tracking? If so can you post a picture of your IVS intrusion and trip wire set up.. I have a similar situation as your camera view and want to catch all motion that comes into my preset. thanks

So you are just using 3 intrusion boxes?.. i only see one on camera screen.. what if i just do a large intrusion box then ones inside it that keep getting smaller down to the center?
No idea if that will work. You should just experiment with that. I'm mostly using 1 intrusion box, like in the screenshot. The other boxes are not very accurate, so i hardly ever use them.

Your video of tracking the woman walking the dog, i dont think she even crossed into the intrusion box yet it still tracked her..

Hello everyone.
I am currently on the firmware: 2.420.0001.0.R.E4.2512.3S.NR, Build Date: 2017-03-16
Do you recommend upgrading to the latest version, or staying on my current version?

The tracking quality is great. Must admit though, I'm not very impressed with the picture quality. OK I know it's forced colour, but even so, there's a lot of blurred areas and artefacing. Maybe they're expecting people to use B&W and so haven't put much effort into improving the colour picture at night.

As an aside, I wonder what sensor Sony put in their A6300 camera? Picture looks great for low light:

Obviously bit rate will be high, but have to wonder if this couldn't fit the CCTV role.

How much did the DSLR cost? Professional IPTV gear can get almost as good results, depending on budget. Dahua 8 series is very good but if budget extends further, this isn't the best forum.

Not mine. The A6300 list is $1K, but there are several sites selling it as low as £600 / $650.

It would seem to suggest it's not a ball throw away from the higher end IP cams in price especially given that it's 4K resolution and also presumably in a CCTV cam based on the internals, you could do away with a lot of the supporting controls and mounts that support it's use as a stills / video camera as opposed to a CCTV camera.

It's also interesting to note that at one time, there was a trend for using some DSLR's as live streaming web cams such as for surf cams, so it makes you wonder in the absence of an IP cam based around the internal tech, if it might be possible to house and use a standard A6300 as a streaming DSLR CCTV / Web Cam. Probably not one for the pros, but an interesting proposition maybe for an amateur to play around with.

I spoke with Andy Wong about some cameras and he mentioned the SD59230U-HNI auto tracking should work with my Hikvision DS-7608NI NVR. This makes sense to me as I can imagine I'd just configure a zone as I would with any other camera.

Can anyone confirm that SD59230U-HNI auto tracking will work with a Hikvision NVR?

The auto tracking is setup in the camera, so the NVR won't care.

I can confirm. I have my SD59225-HNI connected to my Hikvision NVR. But i agree with Looney that the autotracking is done by the camera, not the NVR

Thanks a bunch for the confirmation. I imagine the configuration through the NVR for that specific camera is pretty straight forward then? I mean obviously the auto-config isn't going to work. Anyway, I'm sure I can figure out, I'm just asking while I wait to get it. :)

hi !

I upgrade my SD52-C225U-HNI tonight with the latest firmware (v2.622.0000000.1.r.171121) 1 hour ago.
When its finished, the camera boot again.

After this upgrade, i launch the upgrade of main_mcu_v2.300.0000000.10.r.170926.bin

After this second upgrade, the camera doesn't boot.... During initialization, this make some sounds (blocked when the camera turn 360°)...

The camera is not reachable over network...

:embarrassed: what can i do to repair my camera ? is it possible to downgrade the camera without network ? i see a note to reset the camera ? its necessary ?

thanks a lot for your help (and sorry for my english:idk:)
