I recommend the following channels
Charting Wealth:

Real Vision Finance

Highly recommend both for folks.

He sounds like all the other financial advisors that want to riffle through your pockets (he wants your $). Take control of your destiny by doing your own research and find the "right" people to listen to. There is a lot of noise out there. If these guys are so good, they would be doing other things with their own money. I have been investing (self taught) for the past 35 years, and have found just about all financial advisors are full of it. Ever hear story about the analysts recommendations and the financial page on the dart board? The darts won the financial gains. ETF's out pace a lot of managed funds w/ high fees. Only YOU are going to be concerned about your $. Why is this guys trying to sell you on his services by a video inside his car? At least put your seat belt on.

HI @handinpalm @bigredfish @ThePeacockRanch

I think i've contributed enough of my time here for you and others to have a good idea of what I like to share with others without conning them into something.

With regards to this: You're jumping into a judgement too quickly based on a valid stereotype. I posted the 2 above as I saw a minimal amount of upselling compared to many others in the financial industry. I do get it that you ( as well as I ) have little trust in many of those in the financial industry. Unfortunately, this means we have to learn more about this topic as all of us have some sort of pension / 401k / IRA,...

I've been watching his videos for quite awhile now on how to read charts on SPY, QQQ and he provides a LOT of useful information without any major sales pitches that others do.

Similar to what we are doing here to help others learn something new without holding on to "secrets". ( he basically asks people to buy a book at the end of each of his videos - really not that much of an upsell imho )

Here is an example of the typical summary he does at the end of each day the market was opened:

If you're new to the stock market he does a good job at just showing you how to read the charts which I found very useful.

Well, I guess you always have to start somewhere Mat. The equity markets have got very volatile the past decade(s) due to the get rich quick traders treating the equity market as a casino w/ flash trades. Just seems to get worse as time goes on. What ever happened to investing in a good company over the long term? I have made some good $ over time and as of lately started to sell out of a lot of positions. Our idiot President has blown a good thing he started in the economy and I feel the pendulum is now going to swing hard in the opposite direction. Such as a socialist government. Not good for stocks. Good luck to you in the market, everyone will need it. BTW, there are a few good analysts out there. I happen to know a number of financial advisors and would never give them a penny, because of their inexperience, gambling habits, drunk, etc. . . Just remember, financial advisors are out there trying to make a living "with your $".

Nobody is going to care more about your money and well-being than you yourself. Take the time to learn the terms and jargon, just like IP cameras. It won't take long for you to see there are many "advisors" out there that speak using hyperbolic language, technical terms and half-truths. When you can recognize, identify and separate the facts from the hype, then you know you have made educational progress.
Paying someone to do that for you is going to be a losing battle, especially long term.
I suggest reading Bogleheads Investing Advice and Info. Use the wikis as a guide and look up unfamiliar terms using Sharper Insight. Smarter Investing. for consistency.
I love the subject, just not sure this is the proper venue? I'm up for it, if it's allowed~!~~

Thanks @ThePeacockRanch

I'll check those links out.

Thanks @handinpalm

So, chartingwealth youtube channel is not a financial advisor channel but just this ex-marine ( or other us ex-military ) guy sharing basic information on how to read stock charts for yourself.

While I am no expert - having had experiences with "pros" managing my account in the past - and noticing that they've screwed up with my account, I've taken it upon myself to learn more on this subject ( just like I've done here on ipcamtalk for ip security cameras - and while I am no expert, I understand it far better than those that want to sell me junk now. Thanks to everyone here. ;-)

Learning a lot more on marco-economics, and finding very interesting trends.

I started following these guys about 25 yrs ago, www.fool.com and did very well with their picks.
Ultimately it is your comfort level that will guide you.
During that time, I did some day trading with certain stocks I became familiar with, with fairly good results.
Not recommended, unless you have the time, and discipline to pay close attention to the news and market each day your trading.
