I heard they are the next Sears. Just utter crap and since they contract their logistic services to third parties, this is another reason to avoid them just like Amazon Logistics and Lasership

Here is an example of FedEx Dumbpost
Destination: Ultimately NY
887DECD9-A3B1-42C5-B0D0-869AB3B26941.jpeg

It’s still within the FedEx network but is going all directions in the country

Eventually will be tendered to the USPS, although occasionally FedEx finds itself more convenient to handle the delivery directly

Tell me about it. UPS has been slipping a lot in the past year for me. Anytime I order something over $100 shipped by UPS they always deliver it to the neighbors stoop despite having the house plastered with house numbers.

Its NOT Just UPS or FexEx, Its everywhere, hard to keep and get good help these days, every place I go is Hiring, short on help, Logistics is a nightmare everywhere. My neighbor has a 12 week wait for a transmission for his Ford pickup.
In this Climate I'm glad most of my stuff arrives pretty much on time and my flights have had some but little disruption, Welcome to the "NEW" economy and we are told we should get use to it. We are also told that High fuel prices are good for us and reminded that Eroupe has had high fuel prices for years and its our turn now so we can NOW see the need for electric cars and Windmills. I SURE see it How about you?

Getting UPS to pay is an achievement. You should be proud. I ship a lot for my business. They're a pain in the ass too. Their standard Catch-22 out for damaged packages is "Inadequate Packaging." Doesn't matter how well you package something, if it gets damaged they'll say "Well, your stuff was damaged. So obviously the packaging was inadequate!" ; ) But I don't think that they've ever lost one of mine. Maybe they're better about it then.

Fedex overall for me has been good but the SmartPost thing is terrible. The hand-off process with USPS is just fatally flawed. I won't use it to ship and I cry a little when I buy something and then it comes up being shipped via SmartPost. I know it won't be here before two weeks.

They've all gone down hill a lot over the last few years.

I would rather prefer UPS Surepost, that way packages are automatically upgraded to UPS Ground through my UPS My-Choice Premium account

Yeah I know. I'd rather wait a bit longer for most stuff as as it gets to my hands. I die on the inside when I get stuff via Lasershit.

I flat out told Amazon that LaserShit was not allowed on my property and did the same with Chewy. I also contacted the local LaserShit hub here and told them if any of their personnel or contractors entered my property they would be considered trespassers and the vehicles would be impounded and towed. It got the point home.

Both FedX and UPS have been great here, at least as long as it isn't FedX SmartPost. But even then it's worked out OK, just not as fast. We've made friends with the regular UPS and FedX delivery people and that helps some, I guess, but at least things are delivered properly, rather than being tossed, and they manage to pull in and back out of the driveway without making U turns on the front lawn.

I have not had any problems with FedEx either. Now I do have a camera coming from Andy via Fed Ex. It is currently at SHENZHEN and has been cleared for export. Should have it this week sometime.

Got my check in about a week after submitting original receipts

Those international packages are treated differently. At least I can hold for pickup at their destination hub whereas now with FedEx Ground, I am no longer able to modify delivery date nor instructions nor alternate delivery destination (i.e. Walgreens)

Which reminds me, I still need to cancel my Amazon Prime membership. Their own logistics service is a nightmare and also disrupts the quality of life every time I see them roam by. They crank up the music in their delivery vans and its got to be some of the worst music I've ever heard

Its worse than the Ice Cream Truck. There was a time when all the kids used to be served a crack-infused Mister Softee. It was well known in the tri-state area back in the day.
