Hey everyone, I am currently setting up cameras for my workplace. They want me to install leftover generation 1 Aircam's, which they have been sitting for about 10 years.

Sounds easy, right? For some reason it is not going well for me. I've changed the subnet of my internet card to match the subnet of the camera's default IP address, and I am unable to access the web IP page. I've tried different cables and ports on my PoE switch. Here is all the debugging I have down so far below. If you need any more screenshots please ask, I won't hesitate to post more information. I am very stumped, people.

Solution: I plugged in another camera by HikVision, it worked straight away. The airCam was defective, but it lights up when plugged in, and shows itself on the network. It was already out of the box, so maybe someone before me gave it a bad firmware update.

You can see here that my camera is connected and on the network with the IP at 192.168.1.20. My Blue Iris machine (my pc) has an IP address of 192.168.1.21

My IP address & I pinged the camera for troubleshooting

One thing to note is that when I am not on the same subnet, it instantly directs me to this error page. When I am on the same subnet, this page will load for a minute before showing this error.

My setup. A computer, PoE switch, injector, and camera. The injector is needed because the camera is passive PoE @ 24V whereas the PoE switch as active PoE @ 48V.

A stumper for sure.
192.168.1.20 is the default for those Aircams, I have one in mothballs.
IE is the right tool, IMO but what version is yours? Looks pretty old. Maybe try IE11?
And the HTTP port is likely still the default of 80 because it pings right.

Maybe try another hard reset of the cam?

I didn't want to clutter up the original post, but I have other airCam's that have been already configured a decade ago, still working. I can access their IP pages, so that should cross Internet Explorer off my list of troubleshooting? I am not sure what version it is, but I will check soon and revert it to a lower version if possible.

I've also tried resetting the camera a few times.

When I access the web IP page, I only type in the IP. Do I need to include the port as well?

No, not if HTTP is still 80.

Will it stream RTSP to VLC or BI ?
