Hi all,
Recently DMSS is not loading when on an external wifi, such as the office wifi. When I turn off wifi and using 5g cellular, DMSS loads. Seems to be when using all external wifi. Both happening on my DMSS (android) and my wife (iphone).
Our NVR is nvr4108hs. All running latest firmware and DMSS apps and have not changed any NVR settings recently.
Any suggestions?

When you say wont load, you mean the app wont open on your phone? Or you can't connect to the cameras remotely on someone elses wifi?

I'm having the same problem. I had four cameras and a dahua nvr installed in a house in Mexico. Here in California, I loaded dmss on my iphone and was able to see the nvr and cameras, but the video wouldn't load. I can see whether things are on or offline, adjust settings...basically everything except load video. When I click on a clip, it goes through the loading process, but nothing happens at the end. The clip won't play.
Today I was out and the phone was on lte data. I clicked on a video and it loaded and played. Same for the other cameras.
So what's the difference between video over lte and wifi?

Can be a couple of things. All of which are network issues (like the OP) not equipment

Can you view live video on DMSS ?
Or is it playback of video alerts?
Can you turn off wifi on your phone at home and now see video?

It could be a Nat issue with your router.

Was the NVR added to DMSS using a QR code, serial number, or ip address?

If both houses are using the same ip subnet I believe you will have issues. So if the Mexico house router is using 192.168.1.1/24 and the California router is assigning ip addresses from the same subnet things will not work correctly. Changing the California router to something else like 192.168.2.1 would solve it if that is the problem.

Yes to all: Can see live video and video alerts on phone data both at home and abroad. On wifi only the occasional thumbnail from one of four cameras comes through.

Interesting possibility. I don't know what the IP subnet is in Mexico, but I can change the local one. I'll try and report back. Thanks.

That’s why I mentioned Nat. Or double Nat in that case I think

Or could be some other home networking issue or firewall/router block
