Hi
I saw in a post you mentioned you use aSynology NAS with a Surveillance Station package.
I am new to all this and was looking into the use of a NVR vs. A computer (Windows and BI seems to be a popular setup).
Could you tell me how a NAS setup works and what all is required?
Doe it still require a separate Windows computer or does thesoftware run on the NAS itself with something like linux?
From what I have read so far it sounds like a Windows / BI setup offers a lot of flexibility and compatibility and functionality over a NVR but then, well, it is Windows...with crashes and reboots , viruses, etc..
Is using a NAS total different? Advantages in your opinion.
Thanks!
Nick B
