IPC-HDBW5442H-ZE vs IPC-HDBW5442H-Z4E
Is there any reason why I should prefer an IPC-HDW5442T-ZE (2.7mm - 12mm, turret) over an IPC-HFW5442E-Z4E (8mm - 32mm, bullet as there doesn't seem to be any 8mm-32mm turret)? If I mount the cams where I have Ethernet cables coming out the wall then about 12mm is the right focal length so both... -

Yes, exactly!! Anybody that walks into the side, steps into the front yard, etc. I could run a cable closer to the front but that means a steeper angle which is not good plus I would have some exposed wires on the wall (ugly).- rfj

I mounted an IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2-6mm (you still see the ladder). It still seems too much of a wide angle, though. My main goal is to record/identify anybody that comes through the side. So it seems something like 9mm to 12mm is appropriate. I don't have much lightening on that particular side...- rfj

Substream Zooms
Got it. I see that the top left corner is actually the same for both the FullRes.png and Substream.png. But then it cuts off like 1/2 in the horizontal and vertical for Substream.png . That leaves me with just the top left corner. I don't care if it need to chop off a bit on the right or bottom... -

The options I have are 320x240, 352x288, 640x480, 704x576. The first two show pretty much the full FoV (Field of View). The other two zoom in. They are not just chopping of a bit of the frame to accommodate the different aspect ratio. If you look at the images in my first post you can see that... -

There is a 352x288 and 320x240 options that don't zoom in. However, I wanted to use a bit a higher resolution as the stream is rather fuzzy at those two lower resolutions. I don't quite understand why at the higher resolution it would zoom in/crop that much. I tried to zoom out in BI but it... -

I have some HikVision cams and just configured the substream. The native resolution is 2560x1440. I set the substream to 640x480. However, all it does is zooming into the picture. It doesn't show me the same field of view with a higher resolution. How do I fixe that? -

I do still have the boxes but I have various versions of Hikvision cams (not just the DS-2CD2132-I) and different focal lengths for the same model (like theDS-2CD2132-I) so I am not sure which box belongs to which cam. I guess I have to take out the latter:( -

For all my HikVision Cams I have the model number from the web user interface, e.g. DS-2CD2132-I. However, how do I determine if this is a 2.8mm, 4mm or 6mm cam? The web interface doesn't seem to have that information and neither does SADP. I want to replace them with better models and in some... -

Interesting. Before I did press F5 to update but it stayed at 1kB. When I left click on it nothing happens even if I wait 15s. However, when I right click on it, it updates within 1s. Strange but thanks. -

Yes, I am using the .BVR file format. Please see the attachments. For the clips I am showing the previous two clips which have a large size and then at the bottom the new one that is currently being "written" to. That one is only 1kB and that stays this way even after a few minutes and me... -

So do you see the file size growing or does it also stay at like 1kB? Usually I see the file size grow but maybe in this case for some reason it doesn't and only updates when a new file is being created. -
