First time setup for 3 cams with quality night vision

Starlight is simply a marketing term. That last example of Reolink with a person between the columns is a starlight camera LOL. It depends on where the light is in relation to the object and the camera. If the person is in between the camera and the streetlight, then it is actually a negative...

First time setup for 3 cams with quality night vision

Like I said. No reolink since I have read that article:). Not sure about the starlight cameras how they perform with streetlights. The reason I want a PTZ is so that it can follow if people walk around the house. But it will be always pointed to the front. It will not patrol.

First time setup for 3 cams with quality night vision

Since you mentioned Reolinks.... Keep in mind that reolinks, especially at night are horrible. What you mean a missing hand isn't normal LOL :lmao (plus look at the blur on the face and he is barely moving and this should be ideal indoor IR bounce and it struggles): How about missing...

First time setup for 3 cams with quality night vision

I was looking into Reolink, but a Google search showed up this forum stating not to use Reolink because they are garbage. So here I am. Seeking advice on a good NVR setup for my mom's house. Cam 1: this can be a bullet cam pointed at driveway 1 (about 40ft to the sidewalk). There is a street...

Amcrest AD410 dies in about 24 hours when connected to doorbell wiring

...without the internal battery, but since removing the internal battery meant that the chime would no longer work, I figured it was time to cut my losses. I went ahead and replaced it with the Reolink doorbell and so far that app is 100x better than the Amcrest app and the picture is way better...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Would like to inform that reolink is a pure garbage. Reboots almost every other time I try to do playback from SD card. It either not responding or reboots, RTSP stream stops when trying to do playback as well. I don't know if recording everything to hikvision NVR (added as onvif camera) is too...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Awesome find, but too expensive - two of them is the cost of the doorbell itself  Would it work with the included 20 degree wedge?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

...from Amazon. Slight issue with one of them, it will not save the chime sound when I try to change it, keeps reverting back to the siren. My Reolink firmware is v3.0.0.2033_23041300, hardware DB_566128M5MP_W . (I didn't use the doorbell button that came with the Amazon kit)...

    DHCP or static?

The range or speed or ??? I have 1.0 Gig fiber and we stream 4K video over its 5Ghz to a TV, not a hitch. Even though the Netgear is only 12 feet away from the TV it's also hitting a Reolink doorbell through solid brick about 3 feet away and again, no issues.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

This 3D printer artist incorporated a hole in his rain shroud where you'd insert a screw to block easy access to the latch hole. It wouldn't prevent removal but it could slow them down a bit, especially if you screwed in a Torx fastener with pin.

...vehicle detection? I don't want to be woken up at 3:00 AM in the morning because a fly flew in the view or a rat was running around. The reolink analytics suppringly are good for what you pay for, but the trade off is that you have to use their app which is bloated with ads and stupid pop...

Latest Blue Iris 5 and Onvif Profile T

I was looking for a bullet camera for the front door with AI that lights up LED's on being triggered. And a dual camera (Reolink Duo3 type) floodlight style camera. That work with 2 way talk on BI. I'm a simple guy with simple needs. :0)

Latest Blue Iris 5 and Onvif Profile T

I appreciate that input. I am able to use one way audio and the quality is maybe a little better than walkie talkie. But that quality would be fine to tell the delivery driver to leave the items at the door and to yell at the kids to get off the lawn. :0) My front door is enclosed and the...

Latest Blue Iris 5 and Onvif Profile T

Audio doesn't follow a ONVIF standard and two way talk with cameras is mostly like walkie talkie. Best to go with a doorbell camera designed for two-way. A favorite here is the Reolink doorbell thst works with BI, but that is the only device recommended by reolink.

    Cameras recording too late

He mentions the camera is a reolink and they are notorious for making the iframe whatever they want. We have seen people post their BI camera status page where the KEY is 0.10 which means if an object is in and out of the field of view in under 10 seconds, it could be missed.
