If it’s like Tailscale have you tried using the dns address that gets configured? I have Tailscale and using the dns address automatically enables the vpn and allows me to connect.

You can use Zerotier or tailscale. See the appropriate web site.

Look at Tailscale MESH VPN. I installed on my pfSense firewall so I can access my entire network. It will traverse multiple levels of NAT, including CGNAT. https://tailscale.com/ They have a free tier with up to 100 devices. Even a primate like me can set it up. Works automatically!

The opposite is true. Yes. This could most likely be configured to provide access to UI3, without the BI machine itself needing internet. I've never used Tailscale before so I don't know how easy that is to set up. That is what I meant in my first sentence in the previous post:
