Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

So, just want to share what I ended up doing. I tested with the Noctua low noise filter, didn't do much, I think the resistor was not rated properly for the stock fan. I ordered a much less powerful 3 pin blower fan from Amazon but it didn't work when I connected to the switch. I did more...

Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

It actually looked like this: https://www.cablesandkits.com/accessories/switching/cisco-fans/cis3560gfan/pro-7680/ Someone has tried it with the low noise adapter but I don't know how long his switch has lasted:

Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

Something like this? Those looks like two 40*40*20mm fans, such as these: NF-A4x20 PWM Two fans staked in a sign this device needs some serious air flow and would overheat if the fan speed was reduced. It's likely the fan controller is setting the speed and would shutdown the device if a fan...

Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

I don't think noctua has the blower fan for my switch.

Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

Why not replace the fan with a Noctua fan? I'm fairly sure the 'low noise' adaptors tell the fan to run at a lower speed and that would mean your Cisco fans may not be combatable. I use Noctua fan's and I wish I bought them sooner. They are awesome products.

Can Noctua Low Noise Adapter work for Cisco Switch?

I bought an used 24 ports Cisco 3560V2. It seems to be working ok but the fan is very loud. I'm wondering if I can use the following to quiet the blower fan? https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NA-SRC10-Accessory-Low-Noise-Adaptors/dp/B00KG3KELQ Thanks.

    switch recommendation

I will run about 8 cams. I turned it on and it's loud. I have the 3560v2 and I don't think the noctua fans will work. I saw this in ebay and not sure if it's quiet enough: Check out Quiet! New Blower Fan Kit 97x33mm for Cisco WS-C3750G-24T-S Catalyst Switch on eBay! Quiet! New Blower Fan Kit...

With a 4cm fan, I'd leave that hole. They have to give some justification why you pay double digit $ for a cent article.

...the grid and replacing it with a grid that allows better airflow and less noise. And, yes, I was very impressed with the cables and connectors that came with the Noctua fans. Neat little splice kit with the buttons. Couldn't be easier or clear to install. Just too much packaging for my taste.

    NVR noise

As the NVR does not generate POE, he may get away with a noctua on slow. They are not cheap but come with a lot of connecting helpers. Also, air moving through a grid can be loud still. It is just not as enervating...

    NVR noise

...problem as you do. I do however have a non POE NVR which only has a case fan. First thing I did was to open the case to unplug it and put a Noctua in. If I had decided to keep it in my office, I would have used a big silent PC case fan and mounted it somewhow over the CPU. Then apply some...

DS-7608NI-I2/8P is, indeed, a PoE NVR. +1 on the Noctua fans. -Or- consider relocating the NVR and all the wiring, and use the alternatives for monitoring the live feeds & recorded footage

Running x8 Wires to the NVR from the Attic

...unplugged the little bugger. While I used the NVR, I just left it open. With just a cam or two, it didn't warm up much anyway. I did order a noctua fan right away though. However, a good part of the noise is generated from the placement of the fan, pulling air in through a grid. And if you...

Hik Vision DS7604NXI-K1/4P Cooling Fan Running Permanently

Yes. No BIOS or s/w controls, no temp sensor. You could go to the Noctua site, find your fan's size/voltage/sound level/power connector, get the part number and search for it, buy it and put it in to see if it helps. Maybe the expense and effort will be rewarding....:idk:

    2.5" Form Factor HDD?

I'd definitely go with a a shorter cooler. I'm using an i5-12500 with a Noctua NH-L9x65 low-profile cooler. Works great. I also have two 1TB 2.5 drives, but those are only used with cameras that capture when motion is detected, which isn't very often, so are generally low use. No issues though.

...with the NVR, etc. it could be an issue. If the sound level does turn out to be problematic then the fans could be replaced with quieter Noctua fans but that's an additional expense and may not achieve the best cooling when under load in a higher ambient temp....altering a design can...

    5232-16P-4KS2E, noisy power supply

Most NVR users that have had success with noisy fans replace with the correct Noctua brand. Measure the fan's square size (L or W) and measure it's Depth (D) to know the complete fan size. Check the fan's voltage, usually either 12VDC or 5VDC. Noctua furnishes a 4 pin header adapter with their...

Anyone else have quality issues with Dahua NVR?

What problem(s) are you having? The only problem I have had are noisy fans and that problem has been solved easily by replacing with Noctua fans. And if you don't have the NVR hooked to a UPS unit, you're asking for trouble sooner rather than later with any NVR brand.
