Dahua NVR chassis and PSU fans excessively loud

...the PSU life, as i've a number of other devices that actually draw more power than the NVR, with exactly the same PSU, installed the same Noctua fans, and their still going strong 10 years later...i can't complain about that...also the installed NVR HDD SMART temperature attributes had no...

Dahua NVR chassis and PSU fans excessively loud

...and found the chassis and PSU 40mm fans excessively noisy, and unbearable to tolerate in my work/study room. I replaced the chassis fan with Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX 4500RPM 40mm and replaced the PSU fan with the Noctua NF-A4x20 40mm FLX 5000RPM now it's all whisper quiet...how it should...

    Dahua 4208 nvr fan change

Do I need the 3 pin one or 4 pin with PWM? I was thinking of cutting the grill off the PSU to try and reduce the noise as well. At the moment I e just got the case off the NVR and it's not that loud

    Dahua 4208 nvr fan change

You need a 12v indeed and if you buy Noctua you get one or two silencers which make the fans spin slower. It's definitely not quiet after this upgrade as the design of the case implies fan noise but it is an improvement: Be sure to measure + and - as mine were reversed on my Dahua NVR

    Hikvision NVR Fan too load

Something like a Noctua Fan has an assortment of connectors. I assume you'll be able to unplug the original fan and plug a new one in. The other methods are more involved.

    Hikvision NVR Fan too load

There is a few threads I've seen. Main points I see in them: Replace fan with a better quality one (Noctua is a brand is mentioned). Anti vibration measures around the fans. What I can think of: [Multiple risks] Sound dampening material inside. Sound dampening material in the location of the...

...environment (more inflow than exhaust) to prevent the system from sucking dust in from the mechanical room environment. A side benefit of the Noctua iPPC fans are they are "dust rated", so even though I have filters on all the intake fans I'm hoping they run 10 years without dust grinding...

    3990X & Blueirs thoughts ?

...Average temps for all testing were around 55c with air cooling. Even doing Prime95 stress tests, temps would only go to the low 80's with the Noctua cooler, and no thermal throttling was seen. UPS load reported is 423 watts. This is with 3.5" 10 spinners, 2x RTX 2060's, and some other stuff...

Anyone replaced PSU and case fans in Hikvision NVR?

...down from a +12V common rail off the brick. Another thing which we could be able to do, knowing that we created a 5V power line is mount 2 Noctua 40mm fans like this, allowing for air circulation. Bit of a long winded way of doing it but might see a POE which runs very quite, the only...

I still have more OS and supporting application configuration to do, but once I get BI up and running on it, I'll chime...

Small and quiet PC for Blue Iris?

...SFF or whatever serves your needs. If it ends up being too loud for your liking you can swap out some beQuiet Silent Wings fans for the factory fans. I went with Noctua PPC fans in my recent build and they sound like a jet turbine winding up, so steer clear of those if silence is the objective!

...Plenty of room for fans in all kinds of places. Great cable management. I am impressed. I'm going to try air cooling this beast, so I put Noctua Industrial case fans in strategic places to keep the air flowing well. I went with the Aorus Master for my mobo, only for the reason that my 9900k...

    Review-AI NVR 4216-I

I could definitely hear the fan of my 4216-AI while the NVR was at about 3ft from me for the past few weeks. I got myself a nice Noctua 40mm fan which should be a lot quieter. By itself the fan is inaudible, but as soon as you close the case , you hear the airflow. Still considering it a...

...What motherboard supports that capacity? I'm going with the Aorus Master, 64GB DDR4-3600mhz CL16 in 16GB DIMMs. Going to give the TR-specific Noctua cooler a shot. Lorex dvr loud fan fix - $5.59

This is an informative topic, OP. Thanks for starting the thread! I agree. The stock cooling fans sound like turbines. Noctua for the win, when building PC's, why not here as well? Makes sense!!! For what's paid for the higher end systems, get with it LOREX. No excuse!!

...fan in the NVR-5216-4KS2. Well I would really want to thank them (can't seem to find post). I installed on a NVR-5216-4KS2 a new 40mm fan by Noctua (an Austria company). Model number NF-A4x10. The NVR-5216-4KS2 was reasonably quiet but even these old ears could hear the fan. I am proud...

    Please recommend a DVR

Had NVR for almost 2 weeks. I like everything so far EXCEPT the little LOUD 40mm fan. I was told before purchasing that the fan was somewhat loud in a quiet setting. I ordered a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM 12V to try. Had good luck with Noctua before. Will let you know if that helps... M

    Hey guys, SATA question...

Hi guys, I’m trying to replace my NVR fan with Noctua 40mm 12V. However, my existing fan is running at 0.15A as per spec, but Noctua is 0.05A. Would that cause any issue? From highschool physics I remember higher the amps would draw more and there is risk of over heating but in this case I’m...

Are you using 2 Noctua's, one in the power supply the other mounted on the case? Also do we really need 2 fans? I only have one drive. Thanks!
